Our Story

Kmorg Clothing was born from a deep love for making, learning, and telling stories through clothing.

At the heart of the brand is intentionality. For a long time, and still today, I wear mostly what I make, not out of limitation, but out of conviction. That same intentionality continues to shape how Kmorg designs, creates, and connects today.

The brand began in 2005 in Ibadan, Nigeria, from a small space in my grandparents’ home. What started as curiosity quickly became commitment. I learned the foundations of fashion through hands-on training, observation, and practice. Those early years shaped how I still work today, with patience, care, and respect for the process.

As life evolved, so did the brand. Kmorg moved with me from Ibadan to Lagos, and later across continents to Canada in 2021. Each place added a new layer to the story. Different people, climates, cultures, and lifestyles influenced how I design and why I design. While Africa remains the root of the brand, Kmorg is not limited to one fabric, one culture, or one way of dressing. We work with textiles from around the world, choosing materials that fit the purpose, the client, and the moment.

At its core, Kmorg is about thoughtful clothing. Some pieces are bespoke or custom-made, created closely with the client from concept to final fitting. Others are ready-to-wear designs made to be versatile, comfortable, and long-lasting. Whether it is bridal wear, evening pieces, office casuals, traditional outfits, or everyday essentials, each garment is made with intention and respect for the wearer.

Beyond fashion, Kmorg is rooted in education and community. I am an educator as much as I am a designer, and those two worlds constantly intersect. Through sewing clubs, workshops, and upcycling projects, I use fashion as a tool to teach creativity, sustainability, and hands-on skills. What begins in the classroom often finds its way into the community, and vice versa.

Kmorg has been featured on CBC during Black History Month and showcased at African Fashion Week Winnipeg. The brand has also been involved in collaborations with arts organizations, schools, and cultural institutions, including Prairie Theatre Exchange and the University of Winnipeg. These moments are not just milestones, they are affirmations that stories told through clothing matter.

Sustainability is not a trend for us. It is practice. Leftover fabrics are reimagined into accessories and everyday items, reducing waste while creating meaning. Longevity, quality, and adaptability guide every design decision, because clothing should live with you, not be disposable.

Kmorg Clothing continues to grow, shaped by lived experience, global movement, and community connection. Every piece carries a story, not just of where it was made, but of who it was made for.

This is Kmorg. Thoughtful design. Rooted stories. Clothing made with purpose.
