On the evening of February 26, Transcona Collegiate was filled with culture, pride, and community. Students gathered to celebrate and embrace the beauty of Black identity during a special event organized to commemorate Black History Month. The evening was thoughtfully curated to showcase African food, music, and culture, creating a vibrant space where students could connect with and celebrate their heritage.
Students proudly wore outfits designed by Kmorg and Sholacoutouier, adding color, elegance, and cultural expression to the celebration. Through their clothing, food, and music, students had the opportunity to express who they are and where they come from. From the video, it is clear that the atmosphere was joyful, lively, and full of pride as everyone enjoyed a memorable night together.
Special thanks to Jesutofunmi Mofikoya for the referral, and to the teachers and students who made the night truly fun-filled and memorable
